Eli came out of his class the other day with this...
They had to write about something they wished for. All the other kids that I saw had written toys, ponies, lego etc and Eli wrote "I wish for my mom to have the best day ever". Love that boy so much!

My lovelies...

Today Eli said can we go outside and do a photo shoot of me doing poses please! He was being a goof so I didn't manage any good shots but I thought this one was cute
This is what we mostly had....times about 25!
Of course little miss had to copy and show off her muscles too!

So proud of my boy...
We were driving home from the library today and Eli picked a book that I had chosen (for me to read to them) out of the bag and started reading it. He read the whole thing with no help at all. I had tears in my eyes I was so excited for him. He has read many books for school work this year but he has never voluntarily just picked up a book and read it for pleasure. I guess because I love reading so much and because it's such a milestone to read alone I was just quite emotional about it!! Here he is reading the same book later on to Immy. (Ok so it's not the greatest picture - he freaked out at me saying "stop taking pictures - I need to concentrate")

Scooters
First an important message from Eli. He is the Mayor of this city don't ya' know. (According to this weeks new favourite game the Mayor just sits at his desk and writes signs. Maybe he does - I have no idea what the mayor really does now that I think about it)
We got the kids scooters on Monday. Best idea ever. I am so tired of Eli trying to ride his bike with no training wheels which means I have to run along and hold him and Imogen wanting me to push her on her trike. I wanted them to have something that they can do on their own without me having to do all the work! They have played on them non stop.
And some more sunny spring trampoline shots. I have so many photos of Eli like this as he is always yelling "take a photo of me when I'm high up mum"
And my little gymnast perfecting her forward roll!

Easter Sunday afternoon
David had to leave mid day for his flight which was so hard since he's been home for a week this time and we've got used to it...we all felt very sad. We took him to the airport and then came home and played outside in the sun and then got the ground ready where the old shed was to plant grass seeds and then sprinkled them. Eli has pestered me to do it for ages as he loves the idea of watering them every day. Oh fun! Eli is really into playing soccer at the moment so we played for a while (the score was 50-0 surprisingly to him) and Imogen mostly played with her babies. She has always loved them but this week she has really become attached and taken them everywhere in their stroller and has me keep them wrapped in a blanket all the time! She randomly comes up to me and says "you want to pet my babies mum?" Gorgeous!

He was racing me to the ball and somehow I managed to capture this beautiful smile while running for the ball (ok not at any great speed) and taking a picture!

This was "you play football with my baby mummy"

Most gorgeous ever. She was super tired (as she is every afternoon as she won't nap but really needs to) and she lay down for about 10 mins at the top of the slide!

Easter Egg Hunt
This year was the first that we have been home for Easter since we had Imogen (and I think we have only been home once when Eli was 18ish months) and so we haven't ever done an egg hunt here before! We errr I mean the easter bunny filled plastic eggs with lego and then we had a few plain chocolate eggs. The kids had so much fun and Eli was amazed that the Easter bunny had the greatest idea of filling the eggs with lego! (He really believes in the Easter bunny for some reason even though I have never ever encouraged it or made reference to it in any way - he has totally picked it up from 'the Canadians' lol. He even asked me last night if it was real and I said "what do you think" he said "no" and I agreed, yet today it was like he had completely forgotten the conversation!) Anyway a fun day in all. Just a shame Daddy had to leave in the middle of the day :-(

Eli decided he needed a costume to hunt in...not entirely sure what exactly he is dressed as but hey it worked for him!

Eli was so sweet and didn't take all the eggs but called Imogen over every time he found some so they could share the find!
