David is 40...and more ;-)

We went to see the Lego Movie. Eli has gone from not enjoying watching any movies to LOVING Frozen and now the Lego Movie. Yay :-)

My Lovely hubby had a big birthday :-)

 Immy enjoyed the cake

 Acting out Joseph lol

Exchanging valentines.

Eli did Archery last week. I have a video I will have to upload. He got a bullseye his very first try!

Skating in the Whitsons backyard rink :-)

They were playing 'Olympics' and this was Eli's turn figure skating lol!

We went for a walk at Fairy Lake. The park benches amused me as they were totally buried in snow!

We got to try snowshoeing at a family day event last week. It was soo cold that my toes were numb  but I can see that it would be lots of fun. I would like to try again when it's not so cold.

Immy was making words last week with wooden letters and when we were done she asked me to make her this sentence lol!

Trying to get get through the snow and up the hill back to the car after a play in the park with friends

Posing

Being cool and doing math ;-)

This is how she wanted her hair done for bed the other night!

Playing out back with neighbours. Way too much snow.

I made my first Crochet project :-) Guess who picked the yarn colours!

Despite all the snow we have had the past few months it is not usually snowman building snow but now that its melted, frozen, snowed again etc the snow is wetter and we could make a snowman!

The mound behind the snowman is the North Mountain from Frozen apparently!

Daddy and Immy both falling asleep today watching a movie!

Eli lost another tooth tonight!

This week...

My little Belle having 'tea' with her princesses

Someone is VERY excited about the lego movie coming out this weekend!

There was plenty of playing out in the snow this week.

They attempted to build 'Olaf' (Frozen movie) but the snow was way too dry to stick anything together! Poor Olaf looks like he has melted before he even was made!

We were stuck in yesterday because of the snow so we had a tea party to break the monotony. I made them both invitations and invited them to my ‘poetry tea party’ at 3’oclock. They 'decorated' the table  and decided they would both wear hats?!  I made them crepes and we drank chocolate milk in immys tea set and we took turns reading our favourite poems. They thought it was fantastic so we will try and do it more often. Eli even made me a sign saying “cool mom” lol!

More snow fun later that day when it finally stopped snowing.

Recording a video for Bens birthday. I accidentally took a picture!

Haircut!

Working on making yet another board game!

January

My beautiful boy

At the beginning of January when we thought there was a lot of snow...

 A bit more....

And more still..

Eli getting ready for his Aladdin performance.

The Sultan!

A very cool looking Sultan

Nate and Caleb came to watch

With Callum, the genie and Caleb, Nate

There was a week where they built non stop with the straws. We had a whole city full of structures in our living room.

Eli is still making board games every week!!

Eli and Maia did a cupcake class last Friday at the superstore.

The finished creations!

Immy helping me make pancakes one morning. Naked baking!

It's been WAY TOO COLD outside. So cold that just running to the car is longer than you want to be in the cold! So we have to amuse ourselves inside.

Posing in her gym class!

Playing with her mermaids in the deep blue sea! (lots of fun but after she was done she got a really bad rash all over her hands from what I can only assume was the food colouring)

Playing doctors with Caitlin

Goofy girls ready for bed in their PJ's

Eli has been writing a book of plays (inspired by Aladdin). He has been working so hard on it. I will get him to do a video of it when it's all finished!

We have been learning about Ancient Egpyt and most recently the pyramids, mummies etc. We got together with our friends who are doing the same curriculum to build a lego pyramid, complete with chambers, lego Pharaoh mummy in the sarcophagus etc.

Immy wants to be able to read RIGHT NOW! We are working on phonics mostly but also some common sight words. Here we were playing a game where I call out a word and she has to walk her princess to the right word. She loved it and wanted to play it over and over! (She got the gloves as a present this week and hasn't taken them off - thanks Shaw family!)

And lastly my beautiful princess! Thank you to Vicki for the beautiful dress that she has worn almost every day since she got it!
