My clever girl!

At 3.5 Immy has totally mastered the computer! She has started playing starfall which is an amazing phonics based games from preschool up to fluent reading level. I just started her on it last week and I thought she would need lots of help to play it but she is a pro and can navigate her way through it with no problems as well as use the mousepad, which I think can be tricky on the Mac for little hands!

Happy Birthday David and snowy weekend!

It's been a while since I've done a big photo post but I'm trying to get back to blogging more! I still didn't do Immy's birthday which shows how behind I am....not likely to do it now either since I think we may just possibly be closer (by a few days) to her 4th birthday than to her 3rd birthday! Anyway here are a couple of photos from the last few days...

Basketball in the basement!

Immy has discovered how to play games on the computer! Here she is on Disney Junior website playing Sophia the First games (her new favourite princess lol!) 

This is while Eli, David and I were playing basketball in the picture above - she was looking after her baby and getting mad if we spoke as her baby was sleeping! She's usually more into her animals than babies but the last few days this baby hasn't been out of her sight.

Our road today, 2 sunny days and we still have too much snow!

The good thing about being 6 is that shovelling snow is still fun!

We were working on these puzzles this morning but she wanted this to be for daddy on his birthday!

True Ontarions

Yesterday was -6 degrees. Starting to snow lightly and what did we do....bike riding!  Every time the snow melts (which happens every few days and then it snows again) Immy has said "Look, the snow is melthing - I'm desperate to go bike riding, please can we go today". I usually say no but yesterday I relented and took them. I think this means we are proper Ontarions (is that even a word, I have no idea) now!

Some Imogen cuteness

Each morning - as soon as she wakes up (in our bed, as at some point during the night she almost always gets in!) she says "Let me see what time it is" - she hops out of bed and looks out of the window. If it's light she says "it's morning time" and if it's still dark she gets back in bed and says "it's still night time" and lays down again! So cute. Although won't be as cute when summer hits and it's light early!  Once she decides it's morning she says "can we check the temperatured  (she always adds a 'd') on your phone" I believe she has picked this up from me obsessing over the freezing cold and if it's going to snow or not!!

And this morning...
Immy - "whats this"(holding a strap)
Me - "It's from Eli's accordion, it must have come off"
Immy - "did Eli broked it"
Me- "I'm not sure. I don't think so, it probably just fell off"
Immy - "did I broked it?"
Me- "No, it wasn't you"
Immy - "I did broked it, I'm sorry Mummy"

A little ball confusion!

So yesterday I was pulling the kids home from park on the sled. Immy was sitting on eli's knee and Eli suddenly screams "Immy move, you're sitting on my balls" I was like WHAAAAT... immediately blaming David for teaching him rude words lol! So anyway I stop the sled and Immy jumps off and he pulls out the little pom poms (balls) from the end of his hat and says "thats better, she was pulling my hat off".
I was seriously peeing myself laughing all the way home!!

Eli Sledding

At the park today sledding. Immy decided she didn't like the cold and wasn't sledding!

...and then he lost his two front teeth!

He's had wonky teeth for so long -first from falling and chipping his tooth when he was 2 then when he was a bit older he started grinding his teeth at night- so much that he wore his front tooth down and it was totally slanted, then it became wobbly. So now that its fallen out I actually prefer it! I think he looks cuter than ever!

Chunegar

I have to write this one down as it's so cute and I know I'll forget it if I don't. For last few months everything Immy has either smelled or tasted she says "mmm or eeewww (depends on the mood) it smells like chunegar". I'm assuming it comes from Vinegar?!

Love this poster eli made for me for 'passing my spelling lessons' (he was te teacher!) lol! It says "Congratulations you have done great. Next level you will be learning words and alphabetical order". Love how he writes alfbtgl ordr.

Nice weather?

What was the last post where I commented on the nice weather?!!

It's still warm and sunny yay :-)

The kids are loving living right beside the park. We are here bike riding every day and today immy rode her horse lol! We are enjoying a fantastic November so far it's been nice and sunny. I'm sure it won't last so we're definitely making the most of it!

Reading

All of a sudden I find Eli reading all the time. We've been getting solar system books out of library, pretty much every single book on planets that they have as he is so into it and he will curl up in bed and read it all on his own! (And then come down every five seconds to tell us a new fact lol but that's a whol e 'nother story!)
