Giggles

She had been laughing her little heart out so I tried o grab the camera but of course she pretty much stopped by the time I got it. I'm trying o hold the camera away so she can't see it which is why she isn't actually in the shot most of the time!

Beachy Weekend

We were at Westwood lake (or BestBuy lake as Eli thinks it's called...tell you anything about where he spends alot of time with Daddy?!) for 3 days in a row. Then Transfer Beach today for a picnic and spray park. So much fun. Love, love, love summertime on the Island. Nanaimo is a gorgeous place to live when the sun is shining!

Imogen learns to crawl

This is literally the second time she ever crawled at the begining of last week. Let me tell you she needs no encouragement now! I so need to babyproof the house. I forgot all about this stage!

My phone has broken :(

I have got a bunch of videos and photos from the last week on my phone which is where it appears they will remain.  Imogen has well and truly sucked my phone to death. I have a few photos from the week from the camera and will remember to keep it with me from now on!

We did painting with chocolate yogurt. First finger painting and then we used fruit and rice cakes to make pictures with. You all know my kids...it fast became about just eating it.

 Mixing it all together

I love this one - she had just tasted it on her fingers for the first time. Realised it was good and just stuck her head down and licked the tray!

Goodness knows what was wrong with this grumpy face. It was something to do with eating - I forget what!

Teeth!

Imogen bashing things!

Not the most exciting video in the world but look how happy she is making noise! And yes it is deafening if you are in the same room! Especially when Eli decides to 'play' too!

Sunny Sunday

It's finally summer in Nanaimo. Hurray! Or it has been this weekend and we'll take it when we can! It's pretty typical that last year temps were more or less in 30's from May-Aug - so basically my whole last trimester - when I was big and pregnant and just wanted it to COOL DOWN!  Of course this year I would be loving it. But so far we have had rain, rain and more rain. But maybe this is the start of something good? Who knows! Anyway today we played outside lots. David cut the grass, and we played on the deck. The fave activity was playing with lots of dishes of soapy water! Not exactly the most interesting photos ever but it was the first time that they have really played together and I was excited! Camera batteries all charged and hopefully lots of sunny pics to come this week!

England vs USA

Firstly I am trying out Windows Liver Writer instead of blogging right on to blogger so I have no idea how this will look and if the pictures will fit in where I have placed them.
So Yesterday was the first England match…what you didn’t know? Good thing you got me to keep you in the loop then ;) Here are a couple photos from our day. I didn’t take many photos this week coz both batteries from both cameras needing charging and my phone…well it’s just wrecked from a certain little baby who keeps stealing it to suck on and then throws across the room. Can’t wait to get my iphone :)

Cathedral Grove

On Saturday we decided to take a trip out to Cathedral Grove.

It's about an hour  from us on the road out to Port Alberni. We had promised Eli that we would go as long as it wasn't raining.  Luckily for us (as it's all he was talking about) it was sunny on Saturday morning so off we went. Of course we got half way there and it started to torrential downpour! Yay, David and I were thrilled to have left the first sunny day in ages in Nanaimo and headed into rainy Parksville. We had to keep going anyway as 3 year olds get very disappointed if you change plans midway! By the time we got there however the sun was shining again - not that it matters when you are walking in the middle of the forest.

Eli brought his binoculars (he calls them ginoculars) to see the top of the trees!

Standing inside a tree...the middle had been burned out

It's obviously hard to see how big it is in a picture - here is a picture of the sign so you can compare.

And some random shots :)
