New PJ's

Nana made matching Pajamas for Imogen and her doll. I tried to get some photos tonight but trying to get her to stay still for two seconds was impossible -so of the 20 or so photos these are the least blurred!

My beautiful boy got Buzz pj's from Nanny...also wouldn't stand still tonight!

Preschool Christmas Party

Here is my gorgeous boy all ready for his party. (Not great quality from my phone and bad lighting)

I've uploaded some videos of Eli's class singing! You can hear Eli clearly - he is the loudest one! (Seems only one of them has loaded. The other two must be lost in cyberspace as they have definitely been sent. I'm sure they will appear at some point!)

And here is Imogen being a monkey at eli's party!

Oh Christmas tree!

Here on the Island it seems almost everyone who is getting a real tree chops their own one so off we went today to cut ours down. Of course it was rain/snowing all day and not a nice day for trudging around looking for the perfect tree but if we didn't do it today it would be Christmas! Eli picked the tree - he did a pretty good job!

David made sure it was well and truly tied to the car. He must have wrapped the rope around the tree/car about 300 times. It wasn't going anywhere. We are now officially 'Islanders' as we have moved something on the roof of our car. (I have never known a place like Nanaimo for people driving down the highway with all manner of things either tied to the roof of the car or piled up so high in the back of their pickup that things go flying off all over the highway)

Trees that don't look so big outside with all the much bigger trees are actually pretty huge when you get them inside your house!!

Now to trim and decorate!

My swimmer

So Eli has gone from not being able to swim in the summer to going through 3 levels of the red cross swimming program in 3 months.  I am so proud of him working so hard. Today was the last class before Christmas and his teacher got them riding the big waterslide! I just love this program as they are not just focused on how many meters you can swim but about enjoying the water and having fun in it...he was so scared at first to try it but once he did it once that was it and he LOVED it! The video below is kinda boring but hey...it's my blog ;-)

Noel

So last week we were out and I told Eli he could pick an ornament each for him and Imogen for the tree. He picked the one above for him and one that was a snowman and says 'Joy' for Imogen. When we got home he said to me "what do the ornaments say" so I said Imogen's says Joy and yours say Noel. He  immediately says to me it does have an 'L'. I burst out laughing and then was busy with something else and forgot all about it. The next day he said "mummy why don't those ornaments have the right letters for our names" so totally forgetting about the previous conversation I say because they don't say your names. Yours is Noel. Again he gets really upset and says 'It does have an L and my name has an L too'...so I try to explain 'NOEL' to him but literally everytime I say Noel he says "mummy stop saynig that it does have an L" Oh my goodness it was like a comedy sketch. This has gone on ALL week. He has no idea what Noel means as he won't hear me out!!

Eli makes a gingerbread house...

'Did it'

Her latest today was to shout 'did it' and clap each time she got a straw/Popsicle stick through the hole. Will have to video her next time. She is just too cute for words right now!!
