Laughter!

David and the kids were making gingerbread cookies on the weekend but they deserted him when Maia came over to ask if they wanted to go play at her house. Can't remember what we were laughing at but love this photo of him laughing!

I wish I could think of clever titles.

Singstar...Can we say natural born performers?!!

We recently 'inherited' Davids old iPad. I've loaded it with kids books so that Eli can read to Immy!

The outdoor skating rink was able to open with the beautifully cold temps we have had lately so we went down one day to try it out. We pretty much had the place to ourselves. Probably because it was sooooooooooo cold. No-one else was crazy enough.

Still need to get skates for Imogen but she was happy in her boots.

So the company that David went to Liverpool with recently sent him this Liverpool shirt as a present...hehehehe how could they know that someone from Canada has a life long obsession with a different Mersey team and wouldn't be caught dead wearing an LFC shirt, even if it does have his name on it! The best part was that although it was a gift, because they didn't label what it was, we got stuck paying a $27 custom charge for it!

More cold weather, more snow, more sledding! This time with friends

Night time sledding with new sleds!

Somehow I got stuck dragging them home!

Lately...

First is a video that I forgot to post from when we were at Helen and Buu's. So cute! Ben was singing too but I was too late with the video.

Below is a picture that Eli drew for a competition. He had to draw his favourite story from Martin and Sylvia (the 'sparkle stories' that he listens to) This is Martin, Sylvia and Daddy helping salamanders get across the road safely!

Wearing his new TRFC shirt :-)

First snow of the season. Hardly any but they insisted in playing in it!

Best part of homeschooling is doing school in our pyjamas cosy on the couch! Here he is doing his weekly spelling test!

Eli is really into making board games at the moment. This is the second one he has made. It's a superhero game!

Immy is slowly taking more interest in writing. She is really enjoying these number tracing cards.

Eli has had Immy doing math work books! She has been so into it and listens to him helping her! She has asked to do it every day!!

From Instagram: My little ballerina.

(And some of the 20+ outtakes! actually she was just being a goof the whole time and I was taking pictures and  happened to catch the one above as she posed for less than a second!)

We have been learning about hieroglyphics and cuneiform writing and made our own clay cuneiform  names.
Eli made the top one. He refused to make his name as it was too hard to write so he looked at the alphabet to see what was easiest and he said "I'll do Jay - Daddies friend, as that's really easy to write!"

My turn....the top one is Eli and bottom one is Imogen.

And Immy made up her own alphabet...this says Imogen!

Cold day at the park

The kids new favourite thing to do is look through the various toy catalogues that have landed in the mail box recently. I've never seen them study something so intently ever.

A recent walk at Fairy Lake

Apparently the walk was too much for Eli!

 Immy and her horse

And another horse...

Being silly with the lights while we were putting up the tree.
I found the santa shirt for Immy (below Eli) while I was shopping last week and then had to find one for Eli so he didn't feel left out (its all about equality these days!) Do you know how hard it is to find a santa tshirt in a size 10-12 for my giant child?!

We were convinced the little ones to put up the tree last weekend. Earliest ever! Love my tree with almost all home-made ornaments!

Eli insisted on putting the star on first instead of last....kinda threw me but I went with it lol!

The lovely little nativity scene that we got from Emmas shop last year. So cute but unfortunately it never looks like this as Immy is loving playing with it!

How long until we lose the tiny little baby Jesus like all the other nativities we have had!

Immy wearing their Minnie and Mickey stockings!

Random shot of Eli in his gym class

We put some of our lights out. Need to convince the hubs to let me get some reindeers ;-)

The power went out last Sunday for most of the evening and night. The kids, who like lamps on when they sleep, slept by (battery operated) candle light!
Immy on top and Eli below!
