Eli

Can't believe this beautiful boy is almost 5! So very proud of the little person he is but feeling sad that he is definitely not my tiny baby anymore!

Sleepy girl

Just woken up from her nap :-)

Trampoline

A very belated present for the kids from Nana and Papa and Nanny. Last year they had money between the two of them for their birthdays to get this but we didn't get to buying it until last week! Ooopps almost a year late but a big belated thank you for the birthday present!

Love his smile - says it all - it was so worth hours setting it up daddy!!

Baby girl can jump almost as good as her brother!

Showing me his 'best moves'!

And here is my monkey in the sand in her jammies...

and at preschool when picking Eli up...

Eli swimming with flippers

Eli asked me to video him swimming with his flippers on. I couldn't get close enough really with Imogen - but that's him with the red kick board. (he asked me to post this on the blog!!)

Trying on the flippers

Watching Eli swim is a long half hour of keeping Imogen away from the pool! She climbs the bleachers and plays with the flippers on a good day- on a not so good day she tries to get in the pool!

Our first family camping trip...

...was a success! We went to a small campsite just past Qualicum beach right on the River. We stayed for Friday and Saturday night. The kids had a FANTASTIC time! We went with friends whose kids are good friends of Eli's and there was also a little boy staying in the site next to us the same age so the 4 of them had a blast roaming the campground and playing in the park there. Eli also got to do some fishing! It was kind of fake fishing as he had a rod but no hook or bait or anything but he didn't know that and he was quite content with standing there holding the rod! The first night was cold but ok but the second night it rained and we were FROZEN. If the weather had been slightly better (like it is today of course now that we're home) it would have been perfect. Imogen took a bit of persuasion to fall asleep so I missed the sitting around the campfire at night part mostly :-( but she did pretty good considering it was her first time camping.
Eli in the car - it was soooo loaded he had all the blankets on top of him!

David getting dinner

Eli and Daley in the sandbox

Imogen climbing - she did everything the big kids did!

Kids on the swings

Sitting around the campfire the first night

Izzy and Immy awww

Fishing and rock throwing. Good thing he wasn't catching any real fish or Imogen would have knocked them out with her rocks.

The boys!

Dirty bum! I have never seen the kids as dirty as they were while we were there!

The campsite owner was delivering firewood to people and let Eli and Daley go along with him for a ride!

Eli (and me below) at 6am freeeeeezing in bed

Busy Friday...

It was still sunny after dinner tonight so we went for a walk / play at the beach. The kids got filthy dirty and had a blast!

David checking his blackberry by the water

Imogen was trying to get to the top of the sand hill like Eli but she wouldn't touch the sand with her hand so she couldn't  get herself up there!

She is saying "hands sand off"

I made her play with it and she was ok for a second! She'll get better hopefully when we live at the beach in the summer!

Little lifegaurd

Toothy boy!

And this afternoon playing outside

Inside the litte house now known as Eli's club house!

Lovely sunny day and Eli insisted on wearing his winter coat - with the hood up - he was baking and had sweat dripping down his face but wouldn't take it off!
